Training Journal -If Recovery is Wrong, I don't Want to be Right

First, sorry Stephanie that I missed your innaugural yoga class this morning. I slept through my alarm. And I didn't run on Monday after doing form roll/trigger points class like I was supposed to.

Oh, and I didn't spin last night. I had been mildly dizzy since Monday, and for once it wasn't because I forgot to take my meds. I noticed yesterday after swim practice (my first full practice back without my hand brace..yay!) that my tummy wasn't too happy. It got worse throughout the day and I decided that I must have caught the stomach bug going around.

So I have been eating toast and tea and taking it easy. Did my chiropractic exercises and a little more trigger point work and that's about it. Not sure if I am sick or if this is normal at this level of exercise. Aileen assured me it was ok to miss a few workouts during recovery week, that some people had even rested the whole week during Ironman training and they were fine.

I will say that trigger point work is brilliant. I have zero leg pain or tightness from the weekend. And the weather is finally warming up, it is going to be a balmy 25 later today and mid 50s by the weekend AND I have been cleared by the ortho to bike outside again. Looks like this weekend Janet (my road bike) will be coming off the trainer.

But for today, I think I am just going to take another lazy day. Feeling better, but still a little dizzy. I can get back into it tomorrow.
